Flossy Flossy

I’m guilty of being a non-flosser. That is, until Reach Access Flosser came onto the scene. This little doodad makes it much simpler and cleaner than having string around the fingers and trying to get into the crevices of my mouth. I have to admit that it’s still hard for me to floss daily, but now, visits to the dentist aren’t as embarrassing.

Lovin’ La Viva

I’ve been using these paper towels for years, and others that I’ve tried thus far pale in comparison to the quality and thickness of Viva. I’m not a big fan of wiping things off the counter with *insert noun* seeping through. It’s a bonus that the name is inspirational.

Here’s a coupon since we all need to save somewhere because of the outlandish gas prices.

Just Bril-lint

For the longest time, I carried a mini lint roller around in a Ziploc bag but that was definitely not cool. When I discovered these pocket pack lint sheets, I had one of those “Why didn’t I think of that?” moments.

I use them mostly at weddings since lint and fuzz tend to show up and cling onto groom|groomsmen tuxedos and suits.

This product is slim and handy to keep in your purse, glove compartment, or wherever you want. Here’s a coupon while you’re at it.

Hung Up on Purse Hangers

I’ve been out of the country, but Grace Picks is back in full effect! And I’m so excited to present today’s Pick!

Ladies, where do you put your purse when you’re at a restaurant? On the floor? Insanitary. In your seat behind you or on your lap? Uncomfortable. Hanging on your chair? Risky.

Purse hangers are the perfect solution and I’m convinced that this brilliant little doodad is what every woman needs!

You can get your own from PurseJewelry, PursePal or Zookhooks.

BYOB

Bring Your Own Bag… or Baggu in this case.

This guilty feeling came over me whenever I was at the checkout counter because of all the plastic and paper bags that were going to waste. I even bought a cute canvas tote last year but it was too expensive to buy more than one and also kind of bulky to carry around. Then, I found Baggu!

You can choose your favorite color or have a variety of different colors. I got some in Red and some in Smoke. They are reasonably priced and are cheaper as you buy more. They are very lightweight and can easily slip into a pocket or purse. A good reason to BYOB.

I’m not an all out tree-hugger, but I’ve been more intentional about how I can participate in helping our earth. Below are just a few ways our household has been making changes:

- recycling

- using the dishwasher

- stopping paper statements and doing mostly online banking

- switching out to energy-saving light bulbs

- buying more organic products

- reading magazines at a bookstore and not buying|subscribing as much.

Here are some more tips from a fellow Grace.

Happy Earth Day friends!

The Dirt on Dishwashing

Is it just me or does it feel like dirty dishes never go away? I used to be one of those people that only hand wash dishes because the dishwasher didn’t clean well enough for me. But that recently changed when our house went on the market since we can’t have dirty dishes laying around in the sink. These 2in1 action packs came to my dishwashing rescue! They are ridiculously easy to use, and best of all, the dishes come out squeaky clean! No measuring and no mess. I also found out that dishwashing is being ‘green’. That means more time saved and no more puddles around my feet, all while helping our planet.

Egg-cellent!

No more guesstimating on when the eggs are done with the Egg-Perfect Egg Timer

“Simply place in water with eggs. Graduated scales show when eggs are soft, medium or hard by sensing heat instead of time. The sensor accounts for the amount of water, even the altitude at which the eggs are being cooked. Per’fect eggs… every time.”

The advancements in technology.

iGrace

My Hunny is always finding ways to make my life easier so he got me an iPhone. I was wondering what all the hoopla around the iPhone was about, and now I know! Absolutely love it!
